The First Steps hands-on tutorial guides you through the basic steps of producing a simple INM VizionDB project from start to finish. By following the step-by-step instructions provided, you will create an interactive screen of an electronic product catalog, showing product information for all items in the catalog database. You will then proceed to build a data entry tool.
No coding is required for this tutorial. Interfaces are built entirely using the INM SnapGUI™ technology. The tutorial takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Combining the power of INM VizionDB and INM Impressario, this toolkit allows powerful searching across multiple PDF documents. The Searchable Library Wizard guides you through the process of creating a Searchable Library, which includes indexing the content of PDF documents and optionally storing metadata ( document properties).
Once you have created a Searchable Library, you can use the Flash-based Search Panel in your Director movie, or create your own search interface using the pre-coded Search Behaviors.
This Searchable Library Toolkit includes the Searchable Library Manual, a castlib containing the Search Panel and behaviors, and samples to help you get started quickly.

This sample illustrates a typical product catalog project using INM VizionDB with a Director front-end. The application allows the user to search for home improvement products based on brand, category, room, price range, keyword and product model number. The underlying database contains four related tables.
Run the sample first. Then examine the code used to create the interactivity and access the data. We recommend that you work through the First Steps tutorial before looking at this sample.
This type of project is representative of INM Go Catalogs -- a series of customizable off-the-shelf products that we can tailor to your particular needs.
Note: the sample files contain the source movie, database and external images and require download and installation of INM VizionDB.
This sample demonstrates how to print data from your INM VizionDB database as a nicely formatted PDF document. The sample database is the same product catalog illustrated in the INM VizionDB First Steps tutorial. It uses INM Impressario to generate the PDF output based on a PDF template file which is created in Adobe Acrobat at authoring time.
